Scope

ISO/TC 262/WG 5 Managing legal risk was established by TC 262 resolution 2015/13 at its meeting on November 13^th, 2015 in Rio de Janeiro. Its scope is “to develop a standard entitled Guidelines for the implementation of managing Enterprise Legal Risk”. The standard should establish a concept for a corporate process to manage legal risk and common related concepts and provide practical guidelines to

• understand how to implement the management of legal risk
• understand and treat all types of legal risk
• treat and manage the identified legal risk,
• improve an organization’s performance through the effective management of legal risk,
• raise awareness of the need to treat and manage legal risk in organizations
