Now is time for the experts nominated by their national standardization bodies (NSBs) and the delegates to prepare for the Amman meeting which will take place from Oct. 17^th to Oct. 21^st. After the Moscow reset it will be exciting to see how the NSBs perceived the Moscow work of working group 2.  All ISO 31000 end users and risk management practitioners who want to learn more about the ongoing revision of ISO 31000 or want join the work on standardizing risk management  should contact the NSB in their county.

On Monday, April 4^th, 2016 some hard work started with the opening of wor-king group 2 that had to deal with over one thousand comments on an updated version of the committee draft of ISO 31000 during the week. By the end of the week the convenor, Prof. Dr. Bruno Brühwiler was able, thanks hard work in collaboration across 6 subgroups to forward a new committee draft to the TC with the working group’s recommen­dation to circulate it for ballot. On Friday April 8^th, 2016 at 16:50 Moscow time Kevin Knight, chair of ISO/TC 262 thanked RusRisk, Rosstandard and the Financial University for their hospitality and support of ISO/TC 262 and its working groups during the prior week.

TC 262 and its WG 2 met in Rio from November 9^th to 13^th hosted by Modulo and ABNT. A design specification with infor-mative recommendations for the revision of ISO 31000 was agreed and in addition to this core topic a comprehensive agenda was tackled with all working groups and ad hoc groups reporting on their work. Also a new working group 5 on the Mangement of Legal Risk has been created with Dr. Xiaohong Gao as convenor.

The TC 262 Working Group “Core risk management standards” (WG2) was invited to its 4th meeting in Paris at the “Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire ” (ISRN) from March 9^th to March 13^th, 2015. About 35 experts from 20 countries participated in this meeting. In a fundamental discussion it recommended to TC 262 stopping the limited revision of ISO 31000 and ISO Guide 73 and starting the full revision.
